Simplicity
Why make anything more complicated than it needs to be? Our systems,
support and even this website has been created with you in mind. We
know what it’s like to be a broker and we know that a stress-free
existence is what you crave – plus a little commission along the way.
Whatever we create, we’ll look at it again and make it simpler, until
it can get simpler no more!
Service
‘Great Service’. It must be the most overused statement to attract new
customers that is then duly failed when tested. So we’re not going to
spout wondrous service niceties at you. We simply invite you to ask
other brokers what they think, or even better, test us out. If you’re
not completely happy, you can contact our Managing Director here and
tell him what you think.
Quality
Quality is more than just bells and whistles on a snazzy looking
product. You can have all the insurance cover in the world, but when
it comes to claim if an insurer’s computer says ‘no’, then quality
goes out the window – or through it if you’re really unlucky. Our
claims team are professional and knowledgeable but above all, helpful
and nice to speak to. That’s what quality means to us.
Value
We’ve chosen to place our emphasis on providing exceptional value for
money at a price that’s fair to the customer. We keep prices stable
and affordable so our customers know what to expect. We have solutions
for different customer segments and a range of well-known underwriters
for added confidence. Surely that’s what customers really want?
Independence
We can’t claim to have sealed independence through anything as
dramatic as a renaissance or coup, but that’s only because we were
born independent, and we are quite happy to stay that way. Select &
Protect was founded by Bernard Hood, and now his son; Simon is our
Chief Executive. A strong sense of family values is therefore
intrinsic to our existence.
